Kahlil D. Parker KC

Kahlil D. Parker KC studied law at the University of Bristol, UK, and received his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2004, and a Master of Laws Degree in Commercial Law in 2006. Mr. Parker was called to The Bahamas Bar and the Bar of England & Wales in 2005 and took Silk in 2021.

Mr. Parker is a highly skilled and accomplished litigator and appellate lawyer, before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Privy Council, whose practice has involved precedent setting cases establishing Bahamian law on significant areas of trust law, company law, public law, industrial relations law, and bankruptcy law.

Partner and head of the Firm’s Litigation Practice, Mr. Parker serves as Counsel for many Financial Institutions, Trade Unions, and Private Companies in The Bahamas. In addition to his litigation and appellate practice, Mr. Parker also provides corporate, commercial, regulatory, and industrial relations consultancy.

Mr. Parker served as President of The Bahamas Bar Association (2017-2019), (2019-2021), and (2021-2023), a member of The Fiscal Responsibility Council of The Bahamas, a member of The Rehabilitation of Offenders Committee of The Bahamas, a Director of The Bahamas Agricultural & Industrial Corporation (BAIC), a Council Member of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, and a Director and Executive Committee Member of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation.

Mr. Parker has also served as a Lecturer at the University of The Bahamas in Legal Research and Legal Writing.

Mr. Parker is a Rotarian of the Rotary Club of East Nassau and a Trustee of The Queen’s College Foundation.
