Cedric L. Parker KC, Founder


Cedric L. Parker KC has practiced law at The Bahamas Bar for over 40 years.  

Mr. Parker has vast legal experience, with special skills in litigation generally with particular expertise in civil litigation, libel law, and the law of real property sales, acquisition, and development. Mr. Parker enjoys a successful practice before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Privy Council.

Mr. Parker obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica, on the 1st August 1974. Thereafter, Mr. Parker entered Articles of Clerkship in the Chambers of J. Henry Bostwick KC, and was admitted to the practice of law at the Bar in The Bahamas on the 21st August 1981.

Mr. Parker founded the firm in March 1982. 

A relentless and concise advocate, Mr. Parker is often consulted and retained by his colleagues at the Bar and the firm is often retained in cases where individual rights conflict with public authority.

Mr. Parker entered active frontline politics in The Bahamas in 1977, however, in 1991, he realized a preference for, and withdrew exclusively to, private endeavours and the practice of law.

Mr. Parker has served as a Director of a Public Corporation, a member of the Rules Committee of the Supreme Court of The Bahamas, and also served as a standing member of the Disciplinary Tribunal of The Bahamas Bar Association for over 20 years.
